Girl dies after being pinned under table
SENAI: A four-year-old girl who was playing under a collapsible table died after it folded and pinned her down.
Kulaijaya OCPD Supt Zulkefly Yahya said the girl’s mother, 37-year-old factory worker Jumaliah Amran, came home and found her daughter Siti Nor Haizah Habibu Rahman pinned under the table at the back of their home, at Taman Damai here.
“The incident occurred at about 4.30pm on Sunday.”
Supt Zulkefly said the girl was motionless when her mother found her.
Siti Nor Haizah was rushed to the Kulai Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
A post-mortem revealed that the girl had suffocated.
Supt Zulkefly ruled out foul play and said the case was classified as sudden death.
